Emoglyphs

Exhibition Catalogue

Client: The Israel Museum Jerusalem

Cover of the Catalog Emoglyphs

Catalog Design for the Exhibition at the Israel Museum of Jerusalem, Exploring the Connection Between Ancient Hieroglyphs and Smartphone Emojis. For this catalog, we’ve created a design that harmoniously merges the aesthetics of ancient Egypt with a contemporary and innovative approach. Introducing a novel concept of “emoglyphs”, we seamlessly blend the traditional hieroglyphic script with modern emojis.

Rich with photographs, including exquisite blow-ups, which breathe life into archaeological artifacts, this exhibition catalog unveils the foundational principles of hieroglyphic writing, while emphasizing the timeless truth that picture-writing serves, not only as a means of communication, but also as a form of artistic and ideological expression.
